Get ready for Halloween with this exciting creative writing workshop at Creative Roots, hosted by Julian’s Pen. Designed for students in 6th grade and up, this three-week series teaches young writers how to craft suspenseful, spine-chilling stories while building confidence in creative writing.

Students will explore the elements of great spooky storytelling, including:

• Building suspense

• Creating eerie settings

• Writing believable villains

• Developing courageous protagonists

• Using vivid sensory details

• Creating atmosphere

• Crafting surprising plot twists

• Writing satisfying endings

By the end of the workshop, each student will complete an original spooky story to take home.
